Privacy Policy

ZeroBrew is built and operated by Hicham Badri, an individual developer based in Morocco ("ZeroBrew", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information ZeroBrew handles, how it is used, and your rights. It applies to the ZeroBrew iOS app and to this website.
The short version: ZeroBrew is designed to keep your personal data on your device. We don't sell anything. We don't run ads. We ask for as little information as possible, and we store as little of it as possible on our side.
Information stored on your device
When you use ZeroBrew, you generate data that helps the app work — your taper plan, the drinks you log, your daily check-ins, your goals, and your preferences. This information is stored locally on your iPhone. It is not transmitted to any server we control.
If you have iCloud sync enabled in your iOS settings, Apple may sync this data to your other Apple devices through your private iCloud account. That sync is governed by Apple's own privacy practices, not ours, and the data remains under your account.
Information processed by third parties
To run a paid app on the App Store, ZeroBrew works with a small number of trusted services. They each receive only what they need to do their specific job.
Apple (App Store, StoreKit, App Analytics)
When you download ZeroBrew, install updates, or purchase a subscription, you interact with Apple's services. Apple processes your purchase, manages your subscription, and may collect anonymous, aggregated app analytics under its own privacy terms. We never see your Apple ID, payment details, or contact information.

RevenueCat (subscription management)
ZeroBrew uses RevenueCat to verify subscriptions and manage your access to the paid version of the app. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier (a UUID created on your device, not linked to your name or email) and your subscription status. RevenueCat never receives your name, email, payment information, health data, or anything you log inside the app.

Information we never collect
To be clear, ZeroBrew does not:
- Ask you to create an account or provide an email address
- Collect your name, address, phone number, or government identifiers
- Track your location
- Access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
- Use your data for advertising, profiling, or any third-party marketing
- Sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone
How we use the limited information we have
We use the small amount of information we have access to (anonymous subscription identifiers and aggregated analytics from Apple) only to:
- Verify whether you have an active subscription, so the app unlocks the right features
- Diagnose and fix bugs reported by Apple's analytics
- Understand which features users find most valuable, in aggregate, so we can improve the app
Your rights
Because most of your data lives on your device, you control it directly. You can:
- Delete your data: uninstall the app to remove all locally stored ZeroBrew data from your iPhone.
- Stop subscription tracking: cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings; the corresponding RevenueCat record becomes inactive.
- Disable analytics: turn off app analytics in iOS Settings as described above.
If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as GDPR or CCPA), you also have the right to access, correct, port, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email hicham.badri27@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it. Anonymous subscription records held by RevenueCat persist for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting and tax purposes, then are deleted in accordance with their retention policies.
Children's privacy
ZeroBrew is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used ZeroBrew, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Security
Because we don't store your personal data on our servers, our exposure to data breaches is minimal. The third parties we work with (Apple, RevenueCat) maintain industry-standard security practices for the limited data they handle on our behalf.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the app evolves or as legal requirements change. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, surface a notice in the app or on this website.
